Editorial policy
How we compile car fitments, pressures, brand ranges and indicative prices, how often they are rechecked, and how corrections work.
Everything on Tirupati Tyres is written to help a driver make a decision at the tyre shop. This page sets out where our figures come from, what they mean, and what we do when they are wrong.
Car sizes and pressures
For each car we record the tyre sizes fitted to every variant, the rim, the spare, and the recommended front and rear pressures at normal load (and laden, where the maker publishes it). We read these from the carmaker's own specification pages, brochures and owner's manuals, and we list those sources at the end of every car page. Where two official sources disagree, we use the owner's manual and say so in the page notes.
The tyre placard on your own car, usually on the driver's door pillar or inside the fuel flap, is always the final word. If it differs from our page, follow the placard and tell us.
Size measurements
Overall diameter, sidewall height, circumference and revolutions per kilometre are worked out from the three numbers in the size itself. They are nominal figures for a new, unloaded tyre; real tyres vary by a few millimetres between brands and as the tread wears.
What "indicative price" means
A price band is the lowest and highest price we found for one tyre of that brand, size and pattern on the date shown, rounded to the nearest ₹50. We build it from tyre makers' published price lists and from public retailer listings, and we say which on each row. A band is a guide to what you should expect to pay, not a quote: shops add fitting, balancing and alignment, prices differ between cities, and offers come and go.
We never present a band as a live or guaranteed price, we do not sell tyres, and no brand or dealer pays to appear in our tables or to change a band.
The yellow dot
Any figure that comes from our data (a size on a car, a pressure, a price band) carries a small yellow dot . Point at it, or focus it with a screen reader, to see the date that figure was last checked.
How often we recheck
- Prices: every month. The current bands were checked on 25 October 2026.
- Car sizes and pressures: whenever a model is launched or updated, and in a full pass at least twice a year. Last full check: 25 October 2026.
- Brand ranges and warranty terms: when a brand changes its line-up, and at least twice a year. Last check: 25 October 2026.
Sources on every page
Every factual page ends with a Sources section listing the pages we read, each with the date we checked it. We link to them so you can check our reading. Those links are marked so that search engines do not treat them as endorsements, and they open in a new tab.
Brands and independence
Brand and model names are used only to describe products. We use no brand logos, and nothing on this site implies a tie to any tyre maker, carmaker or dealer. We decide what to cover and how to describe it ourselves.
Corrections
Write to contact@email.tirupatityres.com with the page address and what you found. We recheck the source, correct the page if we were wrong, and update its checked date. Significant corrections to an article are noted at the end of it.
