About Tirupati Tyres
Who runs this tyre guide, what it covers, where its numbers come from, and how to tell us when something is wrong.
Tirupati Tyres is a tyre guide for drivers in India. It answers the questions people ask at the tyre shop counter: which size fits my car, what pressure should it run, what does a set cost, which brand and range suits the way I drive, and when do the old ones have to go.
What you will find here
- Tyres for your car: the sizes each model leaves the factory on, variant by variant, with the maker's recommended pressures.
- Tyre sizes: what a size really measures, which cars use it, and nearby sizes within the usual 3% tolerance.
- Brands: the makers sold in India, their car and SUV ranges, warranties and price lists by size.
- Tools for decoding a size, comparing two sizes, converting pressure units and reading a tyre's age.
- Guides and news in plain English, with sources at the end of every piece.
Where the numbers come from
Sizes and pressures are read from carmakers' specification pages, brochures and owner's manuals. Ranges and warranty terms come from the tyre makers' own catalogues. Prices are indicative bands built from published price lists and public retailer listings. Every figure that comes from our data carries a small yellow dot that shows, when you point at it, the date it was last checked. The editorial policy explains the method in full.
Who writes it
Pages are written and checked by the Tirupati Tyres editors. We do not sell tyres, we take no payment from tyre makers or dealers to appear in our tables, and no brand reviews a page before it is published.
Independence
Tirupati Tyres (tirupatityres.com) is an independent tyre guide. It is not connected with Tirupati Innovar Ltd (formerly Tirupati Tyres Ltd), with any tyre maker, or with any tyre dealer of the same name.
The site takes its name from its address. If you arrived expecting a listed company's investor pages, read about this domain.
